A Little Girl's Bedroom Should Be Her Own Castle

My very sassy daughter went away to visit her dad last month for two weeks. I felt like it was the perfect opportunity to re-do her room. With that said; I transformed her unloved dresser to be super girly and hot pink! Kels is very into animal print right now, so I felt it was only fair to act upon it. Here's some pictures of her new room with the updated reading nook, karaoke station, bed set, and now loved dresser. :)

I'm still working on the dresser; I want to convert what was once the top drawer into a shelf to hold her DVD player and whatever else it may serve it's purpose for. I also have to buy super girly knobs but I haven't found any that Kels and I both like. I'm also looking into getting a old antique chandelier to hang over her bed after it's spray painted a fun girly color.

Happy Booger:)

Good Wine, Fun Times!

It's no secret I love wine! My kitchen is filled with wine items, two wine racks, and not enough time to enjoy a good glass. I wanted to recycle my wine bottles after seeing so many amazing ideas on pinterest. Check out my latest creation!

1: Soak empty wine bottle in hot water for 24 hours. This will soften up the glue and make it easier to remove the label off the bottle.
2: Let the bottles air dry for 24 hours once the labels are removed.
3: Spray about 2-3 even layers of chalkboard paint on the wine bottles.
4: Let air dry for about 24 hours.
5: Get crafty with some chalk and make these babies your own ;)

July's Birchbox & TestTube Review

If you're on my FaceBook, Instagram, Blog, or Twitter... it's pretty obvious I'm obsessed with BirchBox! I received my first BirchBox back in May and I couldn't stop raving to my sister on how amazing this system was.

What is Birchbox, you ask? Birchbox is the best way to discover new grooming, beauty and lifestyle products. Sample top products from high-end brands, get expert advice, buy new favorites and earn points with every purchase aka amazingness for women and men! :)

All the samples that came in my past three BirchBoxes have been simply amazing. Below are a picture of each month's boxes! I highly recommend signing up; there is a waiting list... You'll receive an email when it's time for you to go on and purchase your subscription. The email is valid for 48 hours so don't sit on this amazing beauty tool. Click HERE if you would like to sign up for BirchBox.

May BirchBox teamed up with Gossip Girl

June BirchBox

July BirchBox teamed up with Glamour
Now onto TestTube; this is my very first TestTube subscription. I was referred to them by a lovely friend (Thanks Jen) and I'm pleased with what came in my first TestTube. How cute is the whole idea (test tube of beauty products. haha) Inside my lovely pink box that arrived was a tube, magazine and informational insert. I haven't dived into the magazine but I will soon enough; the TestTube was filled with lovely samples and many of them were full size. This program is a bit different than BirchBox; TestTube is set on a every quarter schedule. I received my summer quarter and the next one will be in October for fall. Below is what came inside my lovely TestTube.

Summer TestTube
If you're anything like me and enjoy the luxury of being a girl with tons of choices; I recommend both these programs. You can cancel them anytime! (doubt that will happen but you get the idea) I love feedback and if you have any other programs you'd like to share, please do so!

Happy Friday the 13th :)

A Toast To Brunch...

A couple weeks ago, I was introduced to a 'mango mimosa' and I was blown away at how amazing it was. Obviously, I've been living under a rock and never thought of creating a flavored mimosa so I felt it was necessary to compile a list of flavored mimosa and other brunch drink recipes.

What's your favorite brunch drink? Feel free to share it below :)

Clarisonic Review

Okay, I'm four months into using my Clarisonic Mia and I must say, after months and months of research and debating if I should spend $100+ on a face brush; I finally caved and went for it. It is definitely one of the best purchases I've invested in. I have a crazy combination of skin types; oily, dry patches, uneven skin tone, many areas that go unnoticed thanks to my amazing Mary Kay makeup (haha).

I purchased my Clarisonic Mia through Beauty.com for the same price it was priced at everywhere else. At Beauty.com I did get lots of extra free goodies for spending over $50. At the beginning, I used the face brush morning and night. I didn't see much results. I did feel it was a little too harsh for my sensitive skin to use twice a day so I just recently started just using it in the morning since I'm typically way to exhausted after work at night. I still wash my face with a facial wipe; just not the full extent of what the Clarisonic does. My skin (uneven skin tone) has evened out a lot since March. I can actually leave the house with just a light tinted moisturizer and not feel like a walking freak show. I know I exaggerate that but everyone has that flaw of theirs they seem to just have bother them. I definitely recommend the Clarisonic Mia, the one speed setting seems to be perfect for me; I don't see why you would have multiple ones hence why I just bought this one :) If you have one, I would love to hear your feedback on it!
